| Bio: | ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} miaka975 here!! this is going to be my little blog for handling the ancafe blog translations i've been doing ^_^I got the name for this blog from the name of ancafe's blog, ura just means back, so this is Antique Cafe's Back Menu ^_^ please comment on any areas that u think are wrong..cuz they just mite be XD about me: i'm a prepharm/japanese major ... since jpn is mainly just my hobby...i'm not entirely sure how accurate the translations will be..i will make little notes on parts that i think sound weird in eng and i will do my best (I'll be posting them as comments from me, Miaka975, hehe ^^ so don't get weirded out oki?) also, I will be posting the blogs with the time/date that it is originally posted on ancafe's blog site, so i'm sorry if u can't find them ^^;;; Peas is going to be helping me manage this :3 thanks peas *hugs* layout credit:: afatal_illusion ^_^ *throws party*oh and i've been working on the old posts..so if u see a huuuuge gap in the posts ie from march to aug..dont' freak XDD i'll work on them after i finish catching up to the new ones again XD I'm back!! but since theres such a huge gap in the posts, I've decided to start from 8/2 the day of their outdoor live! i hope to get back to everything i skipped soon >_< heres a list of vocab words that i'm going to use cuz i'm tired of translating them...and they say them so often that u'll see them in the posts alot...i'll add more as i see the need to irasshaimase = saying for welcoming customers into a store otsukaresama desu (deshita) = saying that means basically thank you for you hard work, is usually said after something that is hard work is finished kiteretsu = very strange (miku likes to say it alot >_< ) kiteru = i'm not sure but i think its derived from kiteretsu....but its a made up word whatever it is XD kouhai = a person who is of lower rank and/or experience than yourself. Often this person is also younger. The opposite of this is a senpai. nyappy = a made up word that Miku uses all the time, its derived from "happy" and is also used in place of the word happy (ie. unhappy = unnyappy) ohazaimasu = shortened version of ohayou gozaimasu which means good morning. Teruki tends to say this once in a while. oyasumi (nasai) = good night senpai = a person who is higher rank and/or experience than yourself. many times these people are also older. The opposite of a senpai is a kouhai. uchiage = the after-event party, usually involving lots of drinking between all the people who've worked hard at an event, and their friends who've cheered them on | |||||||
